Catia is proud of her environmental and social endeavours, most notably in her recent work with the charity My Life for Lives. A portion of all Catia Reis jewelry sales goes to My Life for Lives and their social and environmental projects in her native land Brazil.

The Founder

Catia Reis is a Brazilian-born gemmologist who followed her love of stones, beauty, and fashion to launch her second career. She studied gemology at Canadian Gemmological Association where she pursued her passion for precious stones and their backgrounds. Shortly after her graduation she began searching for the most unique, vintage pieces and soon after opened the doors to Catia Reis Jewels in 2016. Catia continues to constantly grow her business and discover new things everyday. Her passion for gemstones inspires her to offer a beautiful array of vintage jewellery for all personalities, tastes and styles.

• Retail Replacement Value: Defined as the highest monetary amount that would be required to replace a property with another of similar age, quality, origin, appearence, provenance, and condition within a reasonable lenght of time in an appropriate and relevant market, it usually is 20-25% higher than the regular retail value.

• Regular Retail Value: Brand new jewellery is sold by Traditional Fine Jewellery 2-3x times more expensive than our Vintage Jewellery.

We are committed to our quality, not only of our jewellery but of the conditions in which they are produced. Majority of our jewellery is purchased at auctions or handed down by those who are looking to give their fine pieces a new home. We aim to trace each of our pieces from mine to market because traceability allows us to manage and improve the social and environmental impacts of our supply.

When it comes to creating custom pieces we work closely with family-run business partners who align with our values, and as we evolve, we are prioritizing materials and exceptional craftsmanship that is ethical and respectful of human rights, health and safety, fairly sourced high-quality materials, and sustainable environmental impact.
